House Rules

The Malproksime Galaxy is a near parallel Star Wars universe that uses the Fantasy Flight Games’ Star Wars RPG content as its base, draws from both Canon and Legends in Wookieepedia, and incorporates a wealth of home brew content from across the internet. The time period in which the Malproksime Galaxy exists is within a 25-year period beginning after Order 66 (19 BBY) and ending before the Battle of Endor (4 ABY). Unique House Rules are recorded here for consistency.

Experience Points: Spending

While it is easy to select a skill out of a list of possible options, Experience Points (XP) earned during gameplay should be either be banked or applied to a skill, talent or ability that was used or could have been learned by the character since the start of the campaign. This helps maintain continuity in the storyline and enables the GM to help the player with character development.

Skill: Jedi Lore

While the standard Lore skill can be used to understand some historical context in the galaxy, specialist knowledge in Jedi Lore enables the character to learn and grow knowledge in that domain through encounters, artifacts and other incidental activities beyond formal education. Players cannot purchase a Jedi Lore skill — it can only be granted by the GM or earned through the development of the Lore skill.

Skill: Sith Lore

While the standard Lore skill can be used to understand some historical context in the galaxy, specialist knowledge in Sith Lore enables the character to learn and grow knowledge in that domain through encounters, artifacts and other incidental activities beyond formal education. Players cannot purchase a Sith Lore skill — it can only be granted by the GM or earned through the development of Lore and/or Jedi Lore skills.
