The system is made up of 5 planets (Morjakar, Acilaris, Cularin, Genarius, Almas) and an asteroid belt, which orbit the twin suns of Morasil and Termadus. The system is not located on any hyperlanes or trade routes.
Travel into the system extremely hazardous as there are multiple gravitic anomalies that disrupt hyperspace travel. In addition, a dense cloud of comets that appears like a spherical shell surrounds the system, which is further complicated by a violent asteroid belt. Comet collisions regularly occur within the cloud creating erratic debris trajectories that interact with the asteroid belt, which reduce reliability of astrogation data. Any astrogation data older than 10 days introduces significant navigation risk.
Small ships are strongly encouraged drop out of hyperspace outside of the asteroid belt and recalculate a second jump into the system. Capital ships are encouraged to follow a similar path, however a second hyperspace jump is not recommended. Instead, capital ships enter the core of the system using sublight travel. Because capital ship travel is slow through the system, most anchor outside of the asteroid belt and rely on smaller craft to shuttle freight and passengers.
Worlds/Objects
Twin Suns (Morasil, Termadus)
Morasil is a an ancient small yellow sun with a strong gravitic signature. Termadus is a white dwarf that is a fast orbit around the larger, older star. Together, they generate light and energy that barely penetrates the asteroid belt. Because of the orbit of the white dwarf around Morasil, the center of the system appears to pulsate.
Acilaris
Acilaris is small planetoid that possesses a thin atmosphere of sulfur, carbon, and boron. Given its innermost orbit around the twin suns, the surface is extremely hot and inhospitable to all but specially designed landing craft and droids. Acilaris is believed to be rich in natural minerals and crystals, however its surface temperature has prevented any mining activities.
Morjakar
Morjakar is an uninhabited rogue planetoid that has been captured by the gravity well of the twin stars of the Cularin System. It has settled into an eccentric orbit at a 50 degree angle relative to the plane of the system’s planets. Its eccentric orbit passes between the orbits of Acilaris and Cularin.
Cularin
Cularin is a sparsely inhabited planet covered in dense rainforests, jungles and rugged, towering mountains. It is orbited by two moons, Rennokk and Tilnes.
The surface of the planet is inhabited by the Tarasin, a species of reptilian humanoids. The majority of the off-world, non-native population live on massive platform cities that rise approximately 1,000 meters off of the forest floor. Only a handful of cities have platforms accessible to free traders, passenger liners, and private ships.
No single commercial activity dominates the cities; free trade has been the norm but the Imperial occupation of the major platforms (Bollin, Mikish, Soboll, Lissken and Tindark) has given rise to greater control over commerce. Local trade is centered on the export of rare hardwoods and crystals for blaster manufacturing. With the outbreak of the war, mining operations have been taken over by the Imperial Bureau of Operations.
Genarius
Genarius is a gas giant dotted with independent floating industrial cities that form the commercial heart of the system. Genarius generates its own heat and energy, and appears to glow as a result its core generating low-energy fusion approaching that of a protostar. Its hostile atmosphere is filled with rare elements that are extremely difficult (but lucrative) to extract. Genarius has four moons: Ulbasca, Ostfrei, Uffel, Eskaron.
Asteroid Belt/Comet Cloud
The asteroid belt is at the intersection of the comet cloud and the remains of a jungle planet that tore itself apart from the stresses of its own internal core interacting with the surrounding gravitational forces of the system and the comet cloud. The largest asteroid in the belt is 400km across and is believed to be the dense core of the destroyed planet. The comet cloud intersects with the asteroid belt, creating an image of a stellar ball with a line traversing the sphere along the orbital plane of the system.
Almas
Almas is a molten, ancient terraformed planet in the outer orbit of the Cularin System. While there are multiple archeological sites on the planet, Forard is its lone population center. Almas has one moon: Dorumaa.
